Question 1
What are your plans after college?
My plan after college is to get my MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in creative writing. I want to immerse myself with as many styles of writing as possible. Since I want to ultimately be an author, getting my MFA first will help me develop my own style and voice.

After getting my MFA, I would like to work for a publishing company either editing or writing for them. Getting myself established in the publishing world will not only introduce me to some amazing people, but it will help further develop my craft.
At the end of the day, my main goal after college is to continue to grow my craftsmanship.
Question 2
Any advice for writers?
The hardest part is starting.
I know you probably hear it a lot, but just START!
Once you start, I promise it gets better, fun even. Just stick with it and try to write every day.
Whether that is for work or pleasure, GET SOMETHING DOWN!
You got this!
Question 3
What gives you motivation to write?
This is a tricky question.
I would say on a regular basis and in its simplest form, the thing that motivates me to write is my emotions. I am a highly sensitive person, so my emotions dictate how I function.
This is not a good thing by any means, but it does serve as fuel to get me to write daily. If I don’t write I feel extremely suffocated in my own skin. I feel myself boiling over until I can’t help but write.
The healthier version of my motivation stems from my education. Every day I learn something new and that compels me to write. I love reading and going to lectures. Motivation comes easier when you allow yourself to be open to new ideas. Which sounds stupid, but it’s serious.
The more closed off you are to experiencing new things, the less your mind will create and feel the desire to create. The more open minded you are to new ideas and experiences the more your mind will turn and create something you didn’t know was in you.
I promise.
